The Settings Window

The Settings Window allows you to configure various Voodoo-X options. The main window is split into pages. The pages are called Main and XAD. The Main page holds options for the main program itself and the XAD page contains options for xadmaster.library (the external library system used by Voodoo-X to read and decompress archive formats).

Select all entries after loading a new archive

When you load a new archive and this option is ticked, then all visible entries will be selected. This option is provided for convenience.

Always check for viruses after extracting (needs XVS)

If you have xvs.library installed (see the Requirements section) and this option is ticked then every file extracted by Voodoo-X will be checked for viruses. Note that this option will slow down file extraction a lot.

Archive view mode

Using this cycle gadget, you can change the archive view mode. Currently two view modes are available, File and directories and Linear list. Most people may prefer settings this to File and directories, which allows you to view archive entries as if you were using a file manager. Where you double click to get inside directories.

The second method of viewing archives is Linear list. This is where all files inside the archive are displayed in the lister. Using this view method allows you to visually see the directory structure of an archive, since all entries are shown with their full paths. However, viewing large archives with many files many be unpleasant.

Default archive path

Here you can provide the default archive path. This path will be used in file requesters (etc.) when Voodoo-X first starts up. This can be handy for "download" directories.

Using the small button to the right of this string gadget allows you to quickly select a path, using a path requester.

Default extract path

Set the default destination (for file extraction) path using this.

Disable external XAD clients

xadmaster.library is a modular system. This means new archiver formats can be supported by placing a special "XAD client" in "LIBS:xad". When this option is selected, Voodoo-X will tell xadmaster.library not to use these external clients. Only select this option if you know what you're doing. If you tick this, then some common archiver formats (like LZX) will not be recognized!
